Jailed for romping in mosque!
A couple was caught having sex in a Kenyan mosque during the holy month of Ramzan have been sentenced to 18 months jail for what the judge called “abominable” affront to religion.
The couple Peter Kimani and Jennifer Wairimu pleaded guilty for having sex in a place of worship after being caught on the 3rd of October at the Abubakar mosque in Gilgil, about 100 km (60 miles) north of Nairobi. Both of them are non-Muslims.
A worshipper heading for evening prayers found the couple having sex after he started hearing strange noises coming from a dark corner of the mosque.
The couple have pleaded for clemency saying that they were too drunk (for which they could be charged separately!) to know where they were. Kimani told the court that he thought he was in a lodging house. The senior magistrate dismissed their plea.
Editor’s Note:- I think that the couple is damn lucky and have got away only with a jail sentence and not being beheaded for their act. What do you think about this incident. Please post your thoughts in the comments.

according to me sex is not unnatural and god has made us so doing it in the mosque or in the public wont matter…but doing so offended some religious sentiments…..personally i think some discipline has to be there in humans…..this discipline and laws that make us different from dogs……18 months is big jail i think 2-3 months is enough to knock sense in this couple…..

They must be sentenced for 5 years as the mosque is a holy place for Muslims and no matter how drunk they were they must be careful about the place and under no circumstances anyone is allowed to do this kinda act in the mosque.

I dont find any crime in their act, if we think all human beings are son of god, then they can enjoy anything good in their father’s home, and I think sex is good, if it is not good why all do it? so it is not a crime to be jailed.

Like food, water and shelter, sex is another requirement for we humans. But having sex in Mosque is really weird. they shouldn’t have done that as it is a public place and on top of that it is holy place. Ofcourse Mosque-Masjid is the place of Worship. When you don’t have any respect for the God’s place then I don’t think you would be having any respect for God. Islam has some rules and regulations which are not crated by us or implemented by the society noe we are social animals. Behaving good is costing you anything ? If yes then you ought to be animals. Even dogs doit on roada…then what is the difference between us and them. Why you all are ignoring the truth. What had happened was wrong. Not because that was a religious place for Muslim. We should see this case from Muslims point of view because they perform such act in thir place so they are thier criminals. According to them Drinking is prohibbited. Soo if they did it after drinking then they can’t be spared for being out of senses. Secondly performing sex in religious places is a crime like pissing on the statue of Ram Jee, Krishen Jee or in front of a pop or on the piano in the church

I went thru all the comments and what i feel is
1. since they were drunk so islam has symphathy on those who r not aware and controlled on them selves so they should be let it go

hhhmmmm BEHEADED..no where it is mentioned in ISLAMIC SCRIPRURES that u can behead a couple having sex in mosque. But Islam gave us the moral codes and rules of life that r for the betterment for humans. and Islam also said, u must follow and respect the laws of a country where u r living. so 18 months punisment is decided by the courts of the country according to their rules, it is not mentioned in ISLAM that u can jail a couple for 18 months, then why this OUT CRY is linking to Islam only, it must be linked to to judicial system of that country,the couple was not muslim to ISLAMIC PUNISHMENTS cant be apply on them..
As for as sex is concerned Islam is not against sex, Islam is against immorality, Islam said the best relationship that two lovers can have is the MARRIAGE..if u people think sex is a need like food, then as u get food in a legal way then have sex in also a legal way i.e after marriage with ur life partner, we are humans, the best in all creations, so we must do the sex in that manner that suits us.
we dont eat like dogs, i.e eat whatever found dont care dirty or neat, dont behave like them , we always choose best way to do anything in human way but in sex we want to follow that type of animals who dont know what is morality and what is immorality…just think abt it……………
