Hubby helps wife reunite with lover!
In a scene which could have come from the Bollywood movie, Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam, a husband in Orissa has allowed his wife to return to her lover, even hosting her second wedding with help from villagers.
The incident happened in the village of Ishwarpur, 150 kilometres east Bhubaneshwar, police said.
Niranjan Rout, 28 married a woman called Pinky on July 7 in an arranged match, local police officer Satish Chandra Ray said.
However, she confessed to her new husband that she loved Abhiram Das from the same village but could not marry him because of caste issues. Instead of becoming angry Rout decided to let her live with the man she loved, Ray said.
The story almost mirrors that of the film starring Aishwarya Rai who enters an arranged marriage, but loves another man. Her husband decides to take his new bride back to her true love but instead they stay together.
“With the majority of the villagers supporting Pinky to remarry Das, we had not much of a role except to mediate with the concerned families and villagers to preempt any sort of violence,” Ray said.
Pinky married Das on July 15 in a local temple in the presence of villagers, family members and a public notary, village elder Yaswant Kumar Jethwa said.
The villagers are now busy looking for a new bride for Rout.

It is rare to see such selflessness in the world. Mr. Rout truly deserves a wonderful wife.

It was indeed a wise decision by both of the individuals. It cannot be termed as “selfishness” because the percieved “selflessness” doesn’t necessarily means distroying three lives just because “Indian selflessness” demands a woman to remain silent in any situation.

Shows the mess of Indian society. So what do her family say now? Isn’t her lover still the same caste as before? Makes me sick that innocent people like Mr Rout get involved in these situations.

much appriciated…. Rout s a smart man. Didnt want to suffer thinking his wife loves someone else.. its the worst feeling a man can get about someone he would want to love, trust and respect is actually thining of someone else. GOOD tht he let her go. He deserves much better.

Should have fucked her hard before letting her go.That privilege was definitely his.Maybe she didn’t let him fuck & he decided to let her go.But in todays world such goodness is regarded as being foolish.

he deserves a nice girl for his wife. I’ve one more situation here. It’s different. Three persons, 1 married couple and a friend of husband. Hubby wants to divorce her, now friend loves her madly silently. After a few months, hubby has second thoughts to divorce her. They have a kid. Unable to brave and say ‘I love you’ to her, his friend instead tells the hubby that he loved his wife. friend moves off. The love is still there in his wife too but she never dared. What’s teh solution here?
