World Cricket Cup 2007
First match will be played against Bangladesh on March 17 followed by a game against minnows Bermuda two days later.
Rahul Dravid’s team will take on Sri Lanka in their last group encounter on March 23, a match would most probably decide the winners of Group B.
India will arrive at their base in Trinidad and Tobago on March 2 and after two days of training will take on the Netherlands in a practice game on March 6.
They will follow that up with another preparatory match against the West Indies on March 9 as per the schedule released by the BCCI on Saturday.
They will then travel to Montego Bay in Jamaica on March 10 for the opening ceremony the next day.
The mega event kicks off on March 13 with a Group D match between the West Indies and Pakistan in Jamaica.
The second stage Super Eight series starts on March 27 and the matches will be held in Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Guyana and Barbados.
The semi-finals will be held on April 24 and 25 in Jamaica and St Lucia respectively with the final on April 28 in Barbados.
Right now the odds of India winning the cup are 1/6.50 according to the online betting portal BET365.
So…what do you think ? Will India kick all asses and win the cup ? The only time we won the world cup was in 1983. And our second best position was in 2003, when we were the runner-up (lost against Australia) in the finals.
I am thinking about setting up some kind of a betting system for this world cup match - the prizes would be symbolic, like rapidshare passes and also I think I could find the time to burn some dvds and ship them out to the people who predict the matches correctly. It would be a free betting match - nobody pays anything, and the winners get some gifts and become famous 
What do you think about this ? Should I try to setup some system for this ?

One Suggestion, The Indian Community overseas would like to watch all the matches played by India, doesn’t matter if its the world cup or not. World cup matches are broadcasted all over but v cannot watch the regular India - Pakistan series or Triangular series and stuff. If u could make a website to provide live streaming content or perhaps deferred live (defered by 10 minutes or so) at a nominal cost, you would be making loads of Money. Besides that, u cud earn money from sponsers if u come up with deferred live thing cuz then u could advertize in the same time the Tv Channel does. A cost of Rs. 100 per match or somewhat on those lines could be charged to the user and if this hits off, I kno of lots of Indians who would like to subscribe.
