Question. I am 24 years old; my husband is 30. We enjoy a good sex life and are now planning for a baby. We have intercourse in the first seven days and last seven days of my cycle. But the ovum is not fertilised yet. My husband is normal and tests show that I am okay too. So, what’s the problem? What should we do to have a baby? Please guide us.
Answer. Starting from the eighth day of your period, you should have intercourse at least on every alternate day until the next period. Ovulation, in a regular cycle, occurs mid-cycle i.e. 12th to the 14th day.
