Question. I am a 20-year-old girl recently diagnosed with tuberculosis which is not chronic. Will my boyfriend who is also 20 and healthy be infected if we kiss and get intimate? Please help.
Answer. Your doctor will examine your sputum. If found normal, you can go ahead.

Yes, TB is infectious and can be transmitted from one person to another. But it is treatable and free medicine and special treatment is available at all civil/Govt. Hospitals of India.

There are around 22 types of tuberculosis, and unless she is having something called Lung TB, go ahead have fun.. else.. wait till her DOTs course is complete and then get kissing..

yes, if ur sputum test was positive and diagnosed with TB, pls stay away until u r cured completely with medication...its a droplet infection and spreads through saliva.
