Question. Many a time I wonder: God has given all important organs to humans. However, I fail to understand what could be the reason of having growth of hair around private parts and arm pits. Request you to answer and satisfy my curiosity.
Answer. Maybe for decoration! When men and women did not wear designer clothes the hair was useful. Have you noticed that the hair is swept backwards conveniently, I presume when we were ape men!
Editor: Friends, if you know of the scientific reason why humans have hair around their private parts and armpits then please feel free to write in the comments. Thanks.

To keep you private parts warm. all of you must have experienced really cold palms or feet. but you would have never felt your junk so cold. another reason is to retain phermones.

The scientific reason for hair around private parts of human beings is to save them from being hurt at the time of intercourse because there are forceful and repetitive thrusts during intercourse.
If we have intercourse with both partners having hair fully cleaned, we can have first hand experience of the hurt it causes.

If you notice, we have hair around all our openings - Eye lashes, hair in nose, ears etc. This is perhaps to prevent insects and foreign material from entering the inner areas. As far as armpits are concerned, I think it is for the purpose of avoiding friction. The pubic hair, sometimes also acts as shock absorber.

BECAUSE OF HARMONE NAME TESTETRONE WHICH PRESENT IN MALE & HAIRS GET GROWTH ON BODY LADIES HAVE ESTROGEN & PROGESTRON SO THEY HAVE LESS HAIRS ON BODY

S.Suresh is right.
Additionally the most important function is to exaggerate the body odor, as body-odor was used by early men/females to attract the opposite sex.

We Indians are supposed to be smart, damn it. Pubic hair indicates sexual maturity. Useful for reproduction from an evolutionary perspective. Lions have manes for the same reason.

OMG!! i cant believe you guys really dont know? Its for lubrication, around puberty humans are developing and do more physical work and need the lubrication where skin would chap.. spend a little time doign other research too, its a shame you fill your mind with porn and cant even reason properly :(

Pubic hair have many roles:
Pubic hair prevent excessive friction & rubbing during sex.
They provide protection as normal body hair do.
Armpit & pubic hair also keep the armpits & genitals dry by increasing evaporation.
Help in spreading pheromones

YOu stupid ppl hair r not for decoration or temp maintenance
its just coz when we were going into nxt generation from apes to prematives these were the rarest part which had any contact with the nature. moreover some ppl do have bushy hair on back, Ass hol N ear lobes. it is the secretion that comes out of the glands which is more in case of our private parts to grow our sexual urge a bit more

We use to be bare (naked) like animals, and we do not have our privates covered like animals since we stand straight.
1. It was to give us protection from getting dirt etc. directly.
2. Protected us Insect bites etc.
3. Gave us warmth in our pubic area, if you know science, you would understand, even if feel cold our privates remain warm. For long if that area gets cold it could be dangerous to us.
so they now look horrible tous but looked and protected us for millions of years...

1. Underarms - to reduce friction so that you dont get rashes
2. private parts - temprature control around the area, reduction of amount of feramones

One scientific reason is to it protects from germs and dirt. YOu have hairs in your nostrils so that sir is filtered of dust before you breate it in.
Similarly, u have hair near ur private parts so that it captures all the dirt and you cna just shave yourself off and ur private parts are clean.

Have u heard about the pheromones??
Pubic hair is to trap the 'scent' of pheromones and thus make us more attractive to the opposite sex (well thats every teenage lad's excuse for not washing down there).
Pubic hair serves to trap pheromones; it might also serve as an important visual cue, giving information on the sexual maturity status of a potential partner, as well as focusing attention on erogenous zones - kind of like the baboon's bright red bum. I've also heard that it can be a cushion to protect against all the bumping and grinding that can occur in these regions.
There could also be other reasons..
To make the movement during intercourse more comfortable. Without the pubic hair you might find movement restricted by the friction between two skin surfaces, you may also develop a rash/burn. Why is pubic hair curly? and more importantly why do pubic hairs fall out so easily and end up all over the place?
This is what i think... lets see what others think..

The hair around private parts is for creating a deadly look for the tool (should the hair not be styled/combed)...and also for hiding small sized tool for some individuals...LOL

One of he biggest function of hair is to reduce friction between skin.
If you did not have hair between your armpits, the skin would get burnt by friction. The other function of hair is to trap warmth. It also provides a smooth surface to prevent snagging, for example a branch of a tree could easily snag and injure the person, but hair prevents sharp objects from coming in contact with the skin.

humen belong to chimpangi, under arm hair used by baby chimpangi to stick to his/her mother, and I think private part hair for protection when we didn't use cloths. if u have noticed in animal protection of private parts in different way.. hide using tail or hide under skin cover...

In more ancient time people did not wear cloths and all their body part was covered wid hair. But when started to wear cloths the part rubbed by cloth lost hair and parts untouched or least touched by cloths remained hairy. After a long time it became geneticaly aquired charector in modern human.

From what I know:
1. Act as fur coating - It locks in air therefore ensuring that the body does not lose heat rapidly. If skin were in contact with cold air directly, more heat would be lost to the environment.
2. Protection - hair acts as a cushion. Sensitive body parts have more hair since more protection is required. Since men were of the gender of warriors, they required more hair for facial and chest protection.
3. Armpit hair - takes away moisture. Sweating happens to reduce body temperature. But the moisture must then be taken out by the hair.
You may notice all these reasons, though relevant in an evolutionary context, hold little value in today's lifestyle. So, shave-away if you want to.

pubic hair keep you from getting the same rashes that babies do.
However, since modern life is so convenient i.e. no one running around humid jungles, they can be trimmed down without any problem.
they provide the minimum gap required to keep the two skin surfaces from rubbing against each other constantly.

these are sensitive as well as delicate parts. hence nature has covered these with hair as buffer for protection.

The private parts of our body are not open to air, they are totally concealed. And when we were cloths every time, these parts never get any air contact. Now just imagine there are no hairs in those areas and you sweat, then the private areas of our body part will get wet and will not dry off properly, inturn will become proper place for bacteria to grow. Thats is why hairs are present, these hairs are generally thick and rough which keeps some amount of air within them and avoid direct contact of our other body part (thighs and butts) with them. This is a natural protection of such parts from sweat and controls body temperature arround those areas. Hope this helps.
