Question. Wanted your advice on genital piercing, for instance a man piercing his penis or a woman piercing her nipple, belly button or hood of the clitoris? Does it enhance sexual pleasure? Also, what medicine would you prescribe for healing the pierced area faster?
Answer. Penis piercing was a common practice in the South Sea Islands. I do not know whether it was purely for decoration or for enhancement of sexual pleasure. On one hand, if you can pierce your ears why not the belly button and the other parts you mentioned. However, I would advise you to think twice before doing it as infection can occur as a result of piercing which would then call for a doctor's attention.
