Que. I have no clue what a dental dam is about. Please clarify.
Ans. A dental dam is a thin sheet of latex or other impermeable plastic or rubber barrier that is used between a woman's genitals and her partner's mouth during oral sex to prevent the exchange of sexual fluids and saliva that may carry disease organisms (germs, bacteria, viruses). The woman's genitals are on one side of the sheet of latex-plastic-rubber, the other person's mouth is on the other side. Pressure and touch can be felt, but no fluids are shared between the partners, keeping both safe and healthy. Many people like to use a plastic wrap for this because it is inexpensive and easily available. It works just fine.
