Apple's eagerly awaited and (grossly) over-hyped iPhone has finally arrived as promised on the 29th of June, 2007. Love it or hate it, but you can't ignore it. The iPhone will hit Indian shores in early 2008 though, insiders say that it could be as early as as November 2007. Unofficially though, you can get the iPhone pretty soon from the grey markets of Palika Bazar or Sarojini Nagar in Delhi for around Rs. 30,000. Since the phone is locked i.e. Apple has tied up for an exclusive tie up with AT&T, you can get it unlocked for anything between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 to make it work with any GSM network in India.
Needless to say, adult entertainment companies have come out with special iPhone ready trailers and movies and Playboy not surprisingly has launched iPlayboy, a collection of downloadable items.
The large screen of the iPhone means you can thoroughly enjoy hot sexy videos and hopefully this one factor should itself drive sales here in India. I for one just can't wait to get my hands on the iPhone. The phone it too cool to be ignored. i m eagerly waiting for this from last 6 months. i live in europe and cant wait to get my hands on iphone. yeah for sure tht phone wil be a massive hit for youngersters tharkis like us.

Ya it's exclusive carrier is Cingular Wireless, now AT&T Mobility. It's a 2G phone, not worthy enough to buy really. It's a overhyped product as you have rightly mentioned.
The Nokia N Series are much better than that.

It might be over hyped phone..but it is technologically advanced phone than any available in market...Nokia series are all fat ass phones...
and no...u cant break the code and work it in india..for the simple reason u cant insert your sim...there is no sim slot ..the sim is already inside... u can choose the number and get it activated from AT&T

U guys call it cool? It has no slot for memory cards, its camera is only two megapixel and even without autofocus, U can't use custom ringtones- i.e only 20 ringtones to choose from, It doesn't have Java so U can't play cool 3D java games and some users have allegdely complained about battery issues and It costs almost the same and in sum cases even more ($600) than high ends of other brands like NOkia and SE. It's only plus point is it looks gud. Playing MP3s, Videos is common to most high ends. Do U still think its something to long for?

Stupid phone...I saw that thingy.
You can minimize, maximize scroll etc by just finger movements.......but no 3G hahaha
it is useless.
They are just planning to rip off Apple lovers.
Once it gets sold...they will bring out Version 2 of it and rip ppl off again.
